 Mr Balloons help break world record

Mr Balloons delivers for the Xbox 360 launch.

An exciting opportunity unfolded in April 2006 for Australia and Mr Balloons to be involved in a world record breaking attempt for the largest water bomb fight that successfully beat previous world record holder Spain.

Australia - 2849 Participants, 51 386 water bombs. - WINNER

Spain – 2677 Participants, 50, 855 water bombs (previous world record holder)

Behind the scenes

A special water bomb filling machine was designed and built for the project which consisted of 5 outlets that could fill balloons simultaneously. The unit contained solenoids and timing devices to give some consistency to the size of the balloon and to allow the use of inexperienced labour on the project supervised by Mr Balloons key staff that rotated in shifts to keep quality control high.

In total 45 x palettes of balloons were fork lifted onto a several trucks and transported from Mr Balloons new Rosebery premises to Coogee Beach .
